World Kidney Day Stand in RVH Foyer!! Thursday 13th March.

As Renal NICRN nurses we decided to team up with the rest of our renal colleagues for World Kidney Day. To promote kidney health, kidney donation, kidney research and generally educating the public about all things Renal.

A well as renal nursing staff, we were joined by many others such as representatives from NIKRF (Northern Ireland Kidney Research Fund), the Public Health Agency and researchers from QUB.

There was a lot of interest from the people passing through the RVH foyer. Many interesting conversations were had about kidney donation and about family/friends who had benefitted from the renal service or are currently attending.  The interest from the public was heart-warming and very encouraging.

Special thanks to our NICRN colleagues who helped with the preparation and came to support us on the day!
