A Celebration for Professor Julie Silvestri CBE

On Tuesday 25th July, we celebrated our esteemed colleague, clinical director for ophthalmic Services and vision research clinical lead, Professor Giuliana Silvestri and her award of CBE for services to Ophthalmology and Eyecare in Northern Ireland.

We were joined by Dr Cathy Jack, Chief Executive of the Belfast Trust, Professor Usha Chakravarthy CBE, Ophthalmology and Vision Science, Queen’s University of Belfast and Clinical Research Network Director Professor Jonathan Jackson.

Also celebrating Prof Silvestri today were her family; husband Gordon, daughter Laura and brother Vittorio who also works for Belfast Trust as a Senior Ophthalmic Imaging Specialist.
