Belfast Trust Specialist Ophthalmologist runs London Marathon 2024

Dr Karen Gillvray is an associate specialist ophthalmologist based at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast. Dr Gillvray is also a ophthalmology sub-investigator involved in clinical research for the NI Clinical Research Network.

Karen ran the London Marathon to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support in memory of her friend who sadly passed away last year.

So far, Karen has raised over £1500, Karen said, “I would like to thank all the people who supported me, either by donating or by encouragement to keep going! It was an amazing, life-affirming experience and the blistered feet were worth it.”
