NI Clinical Research Network staff training with Karl Ward – NHS Leeds Teaching Hospital

On Monday 19th and Tuesday 20th December 2022, Clinical Research Network BHSCT staff welcomed Karl Ward from NHS Leeds teaching Hospital for virtual training.

Topics for the two day training course included: Protocols, Source Data, Consent & Eligibility, Safety Reporting, Concomitant Medication, Time Management and Facilitation Oversight.

Claire Leathem, Primary Care Lead Nurse said, “Excellent training from Karl Ward, interesting and engaging sessions both a refresher and update on all things Clinical Research related, tailored to research nurses from the perspective of a research nurse.”

This was also an opportunity for staff to come together during the festive period.

The event was organised by Senior Staff Manager Sonia McKenna and Staff Manager Alison Clinton.
