NICRN Dementia Nurses Raise Awareness for Alzheimer’s Day at BCH

On Monday 21st September in recognition of World Alzheimer`s day and World Alzheimer`s Month, Sharon Marks and Eileen Fox from the NICRN Dementia Research Team held a stand in the foyer of Belfast City Hospital.

The theme of this year’s campaign was to focus on tackling stigma and highlighting the value of early detection. Providing information supports people to understand how to reduce the risk of getting dementia and increases research participation.

The event was a great success with many people stopping to have a chat and to obtain some of the dementia resources available on the stand.
