The Novo Nordisk Pioneer Real Diabetes Trial closes in NHSCT after smashing their recruitment target

Pioneer Real A multi-centre, prospective, non-interventional single-arm study investigating clinical parameters associated with the use of once daily oral semaglutide in a real-world adult population with type 2 diabetes closed recently recruiting 381 patients across the UK.

NHSCT had a target recruitment of 8 and surpassed this by recruiting 24 patients, a fantastic achievement by the study team led by Moyra McMaster, Diabetes research nurse.

This made AAH the joint highest recruiter for the study in the entire UK.
